Visually Impaired (VABVI)

Special Education at home and at school: Our instructors are an integral part of your child's education. VABVI works with students and provides programs and services to help dispel these feelings of isolation and to promote independence.

Some skills and services that TVIs teach include:

• Braille literacy, access to Braille textbooks, large print, and audiotape so visually impaired children have the same materials as their sighted peers
• Orientation & Mobility instruction to assure students' ability to safely and independently get wherever they need to go
• TVIs provide valuable information about helpful resources and literature, as well as answers to questions concerning the growth and development of children
